About Max…

Max Sherman isn’t a career politician — he’s a husband, father, teacher, and farmer who’s spent his life serving others. For 35 years, Max taught Agriculture, Welding, and Biology in Oregon’s public schools, helping generations of students gain the skills and confidence to build their futures. Alongside his wife Lynda, he continues that work today — growing food for local families, donating poultry and produce to churches and food pantries, and teaching hands-on agricultural and technical skills to young people and adults. Service, faith, and community aren’t just words to Max — they’re how he lives every day.

Like many Oregonians, Max has watched our state drift away from the values that once made it a great place to live, work, and raise a family. Families are struggling under higher taxes, rising costs, and schools that have lost focus on the basics. Our current representative turned his back on the people who trusted him — and voters deserve better. Max is running to restore honesty, accountability, and common sense to Salem. He believes in strong families, local control, and an Oregon where hard work and integrity still matter.
